Donald Harold “Duck” Piercey, age 68, of Albany, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at the V. A. Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. He was the son of Robert E. and Rosa Lee (Taylor) Piercey, and was also preceded in death by four brothers, Robert James Piercey, Ray Lewis Piercey, John Marion Piercey and David “Red Mule” Piercey, and two sisters, Guendolyn Piercey and Barbara Whittenburg.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda (Carr) Piercey of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; a son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Juanita Lowhorn, of Pensacola, Florida; two sisters, Peggy Lee and her husband Ralph, of Albany, and Georgie Armstrong of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; a brother-in-law, Kenny Carr of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; a grandson, Jonathan Lowhorn and his wife Julee, of Pace Florida; a granddaughter, Hannah Lowhorn of Pensacola, Florida; and several special nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, July 3, 2016, in the Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home with Pastor David Stearns and Bro. Greg Lowhorn officiating. Burial with military honors followed on Tuesday, July 6, 2016 at Mill Springs National Cemetery in Nancy, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions made in his name to Disabled American Veterans or Prisoners Of War Organizations would be appreciated.
