Jimmy Gilbert, age 74, of Albany, Kentucky, and formally of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at his residence, in Albany. He was the son of Eddie Mack and Minnie Lee (Smith) Gilbert, and was also preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Rowe and Maude Dickerson, two brothers, Ewing Gilbert and Calvin Gilbert, a niece, Teresa Lynn Rowe.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Jeanette (Davis) Gilbert; a son, Jason Paul Gilbert; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Richard Braswell, all of Albany; a brother, and sister-in-law, Eddie Dale and Joann Gilbert, Bowling Green, Kentucky; a granddaughter, Katie Lee Gilbert; several special nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, July 2, 2016, in the Chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home, with pastors James Gilbert and Kenny Stinson officiating. Burial with military honors followed in the Fairland Cemetery in Clinton County.
