Migrant Parent Council

Advisory Meeting

Clinton County School’s Migrant Education Program will have a Parent Advisory Council Back to School meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 21 at the Early Childhood Center. We will have a presentation on using the parent portal in Infinite Campus. We will review this year’s summer school programs and elect PAC members for this school year. Each child enrolled in the Migrant program will receive a back pack and school supplies. Hotdogs and refreshments will be served. All parents who have children enrolled in the Migrant program please try to attend this meeting. For more information please call 387-6272.

School board to hold work

session and regular meeting

Clinton County Board of Education will hold a work session Thursday, July 14 at 4:30 p.m. and its regular business meeting Monday, July 18 at 5 p.m. Both will be at the Central Office board room and both are open to the general public.

Eastern Star meeting July 18

Albany Chapter #429 of the Order of Eastern Star will meet on Monday, July 18th. Meal at 6:00 pm and meeting at 7:00 pm. All members are urged to attend.

Lunch and Learn class

at Extension Office

Want to learn more about stretching your food dollar, better nutrition without a huge price tag, and food safety? If so, the Nutrition Education Program will be hosting a Lunch and Learn class at the Clinton County Extension Office Tuesday, July 19th at 11:00 am. CCHS Band 2016-2017

to hold Annual Band Camp

Members of the CCHS Band (grades 9 – 12 for the upcoming 2016-2017 school year) will have Band Camp July 25 –28 at the local high school. All high school band students are required to attend these sessions. Each day’s rehearsals will be from 8:00 a.m. until 11:30. This camp is in preparation for this fall’s football season.

Monday, “T” for Tangled (with special guest Rapunzel); Tuesday, “U” for Underwear; Wednesday, “V” for Volleyball; Thursday (closed); Friday, Fit & Fun with the Cooperative Extension Office; Saturday, drawing at 11 a.m.

Foothills Camp Meeting

Come join Eagle Nest Ministries at the 8th annual Kentucky Foothills Camp Meeting Thursday through Saturday, July 14-16 starting at 6 p.m. at the Clinton County Fairgrounds. Each night we will have preaching, singing, dinner, and the last night Omega Force Strength Team will be with us. We will also be handing out clothes, shoes, toys, bikes, books, Bibles, house hold items, and much more, all ‘free of charge.’

Singing Down on the Farm

The 14th annual Singing Down on the Farm will be held Saturday, July 16 at 6 p.m. at 1630 Leslie Road, Hwy. 691 in Burkesville. Featured singers will be the legendary Singing Cookes and Cooke Brothers from Kingsport, Tennessee and Driven from Somerset. Free admission, bring your lawn chairs. Concessions will be available. Come out and enjoy a night of gospel music! A large tent will be provided for your comfort. The event will be held rain or shine. For more information call 270-864-2230.

AA will be meeting each Thursday and Saturday night at 7 p.m. in the basement of the First Christian Church.

Veterans and their families seeking benefits in south central Kentucky will now be able to find help and advice at a central location. Gary Jones, the Veterans Benefits Field Representative for Clinton and surrounding counties, will be in Glasgow at 126 E. Public Square, Lower Level, every day except for the first Tuesday, second Monday, second Tuesday, second Thursday and third Monday of each month.
