Ruby Marcum, 89, Monticello, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at UK Medical Center in Lexington. She was the wife of the late Joe Stanley Marcum, daughter of the late Vernon and Tilda (Jones) Owens and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Sue Shelton, a brother Cecil Owens, a sister Hazel Rains, a son-in-law, David Shelton, and one grandchild.

She is survived by a son, Stanley Eugene “Bud” (Deloris) Marcum, Albany; two daughters, Faye Ann (Russell) Means and Geraldine “Gerry” Shelton, both of Monticello, Kentucky; a son-in-law, Robert Shelton; two brothers, Leonard Owens, Franklin, Indiana; Klemon Owens, Albany; three sisters, Dorothy Shelton, Florida; Jean Gregory, Monticello, Kentucky; Viola “Ollie” Hancock, New Castle, Indiana; also six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 15, 2016 at 2 p.m. Eastern Time at Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home with final resting place in Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements were made through Hicks-
