Donreta Hoover, 83, New Castle, Indiana and a native of Clinton County, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Willowbend Living Center in Muncie, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late James Edgar and Bonnie (Bertram) Gibson and was also preceded in death by three sisters, Floreda Gibson, Molene Wiggins and Louise Guffey and two brothers, Woodrow and Esco Gibson. She was a member of The Sanctuary of New Castle.

She is survived by her husband, Harlen Hoover; a son, Wallace Gene Hoover, both of New Castle, Indiana; a daughter, Barbara June (Billy) Thurston, St. Louis, Missouri; two brothers, Lloyd (Lucille) Gibson, Lynn, Indiana; Robert Gibson, Blountsville, Indiana; two grandchildren, Traci (Pastor Jeff) Jaco, New Castle, Indiana, and Troy Thurston of St. Louis, Missouri; four great-grandchildren, Taylor and Halle Thurston, Jay and Hope Jaco; also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 15, 2016 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service with final resting place in Green Hills Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements were made through Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service of New Castle, Indiana.
