Girls 7th – 12th grade soccer practices will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8 p.m. at the Clinton County Middle School soccer field. Any girl interested in playing during the 2016 school year are welcome to attend.

Little league football and cheerleading signups will be this Saturday, July 30, at Sonic Restaurant in Albany from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.
Football 1st-6th grade; Cheerleading K-6th grade. Cost $35 per player/cheerleader for season. Football players must obtain a sports physical prior to first practice.
Foothills Community Church Youth
sponsoring car, bike, trike
and rat rod show
The youth group of FCC (Foothills Community Church, 2084 Burkesville Road in Albany) will be having a car, bike, trike and rat rod show to help raise money for camp.
The show will be Saturday, July 30th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with judging starting at 11:00 a.m..
We will be giving away some awesome door prizes donated by several businesses. Grand Prizes: free pontoon rental and a Case knife valued at over $100.
Concessions will include scrambled hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, nachos and cheese, and Pepsi products.
Entry fee is $10 per class. Several classes offered with 31 trophies awarded. Any make, model and year. It doesn’t have to be a show car.

Legal and Financial Planning workshop for Alzheimer’s or dementia concerns
If you or someone you know is affected by Alzheimer’s disease or dementia, the time for legal and financial planning is now. This workshop is for anyone who would like to know more about what legal and financial issues to consider and how to put plans in place.
Learn what legal decisions must be made, and how to use those decisions to protect and provide the best care possible for the person with dementia.
Explore the options available to pay for care, where to find additional resources, and how to make the best financial choices for both the person with dementia and the caregiver.
Guest speakers will include Somerset attorney Jay McShurley and Sonya Spoon of the Lake Cumberland Area Agency on Aging. It is sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Association.
The program will be held on Wednesday, August 17th from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Pulaski County Senior Citizens Center located at 125 University Avenue, Somerset. Registration is required. Please contact 1-800-272-3900.

SBDMC meeting dates announced
Clinton County Middle School’s SBDM Council will meet in the conference room on the first Tuesday of each month at 3:30 with the exception of April and July. The following is the 2016-17 open house and orientation schedule for each school:
* Early Childhood Center: Kindergarten, Thursday, July 28 at 6 p.m.
* Albany Elementary: Thursday, August 4–First and second grades, 5 p.m.; third and fourth grades, 6:30 p.m.
* Clinton County Middle School: Fifth grade, Tuesday, August 2 at 5 p.m. Monday, August 1, sixth, seventh and eighth grades, open from 4 to 7 p.m.
