Roy E. Hudson, 92, Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away Friday, July 22, 2016 at Cumberland Valley Manor in Burkesville. He was a lifelong resident of Clinton and Cumberland counties, born in the Peolia Community of Clinton County, the son of the late James Washington “J.W.” and Lena (Braswell) Hudson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ima (Norris) Hudson, two sisters, Beatrice Norris and Clara Norris, and an infant brother. He was a decorated veteran of World War II, member of Rose of Sharon United Methodist Church and attended New Bethel Baptist Church.

He is survived by a son, Gary V. Hudson, Morgantown, Indiana; two grandchildren, Michelle (James) Kelly and Tyrone Hudson; two great-grandchildren, Garrett (Jordan) and Chandler Kelly; and one great-great-grandson, Bryson Kelly.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 25, 2016 at Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Phil Leak officiating with military honors. Final resting place in Peolia Cemetery in Clinton County.
