Joseph Glen Brown, 80, a native of Illinois, passed away July 22, 2016. He was the son of the late Verner and Esther Brown, a member of the Methodist Church and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Laurie Suzanne Brown and three brothers, E. Stanley, Paul and Thomas Brown.

He graduated from Clinton County High School and received his degree in Business Administration from Berea College. His Master’s came from New Mexico State and he spent most of his working career in the potash industry. He also served two years in the Army

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Brown; a son, Mark (Kiva) Brown, Irvine, California; a daughter, Lisa (Randy) Riley, Carlsbad; two brothers, Cecil Brown, Colorado Springs, Colorado; Harold Brown, Bowling Green, Kentucky; five sisters, Norma Craft, Albany; Joyce Wray, Glasgow, Kentucky; Doris Stout, Berne, Indiana; Nancy Moreland, Jeffersonville, Indiana; Joy Coleman, Lake Jackson, Texas; also three grandchildren, Will and Nate Riley and Lauren Brown.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church. Arrangements were made through Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at dentonwood.com.
