Daniel Gleason “Danny” Pierce, 69, Byrdstown, Tennessee and formerly of Albany, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was the son of the late Fred Gleason and Eulana Renell (Bowlin) Pierce and husband of the late Elaine (Newton) Pierce.

He is survived by a son, Freddy (Marsha) Pierce; a daughter, “Sis” Mary (Timmy) Shelton, all of Albany; three step-children, Sherry Bowman, Jimmy Newton and Jolene Anderson, all of Bardstown, Kentucky; two sisters, Carolyn Needler and Linda Tuggle, both of Albany; six grandchildren, Mindy Perdue, Amber Latham, T.J. Shelton and Adrian, Alex and Allen Pierce; four great-grandchildren, Chayse, Colt and Makenna Perdue and Bentley Pierce; also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Campbell-New Funeral Home with pastors David Dorn, Bobby Brown and Bro. Chopper Brown officiating.
