Elvin Dodson, 86, Cave Springs Road, Albany and formerly of Monticello, passed away Friday, August 26, 2016 at his home.

He is survived by three sons, Gregory York and Gerald and John Dodson; four daughters, Linda Hammond, Janet Coffey, Judy Gregory and Joyce Crain; a sister, Leriene Lair; two brothers, Rev. Jackie Dodson and Rev. Billy Dodson; also 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 10 a.m. Eastern Time at Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home with final resting place in Cedar Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements were made through Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home of Monticello, Kentucky. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Elvin Dodson Memorial Fund and may be left at the funeral home.
