Bulldogs take first loss in high scoring game against McCreary

Several Bulldogs surrounded a McCreary County player Friday night on a kickoff return. Clinton County picked up its first loss of the season at the hands of the Raiders, 68-40. The Bulldogs will be one the road this week as the team travels to Webster County. The Dawgs are 2-1 on the year.

Clinton County picked up its first loss of the 2016 season Friday night as McCreary County came into Bulldog Field to take on the Dawgs. Both teams put up a host of points, but in the end it was McCreary County with the 68-40 victory. Clinton County moves to 2-1 on the year.

During Friday night’s game, Clinton County scored six touchdowns, including three from Corey Arms, and one each from Jordan Davis, Noah Pruitt and Dylan Groce. Davis scored one two point conversion as did CJ Smith.

Noah Miller recovered one fumble to give the Dawgs back the ball and on defense Devon Redman recorded five tackles. Arms had 100 rushing yards on 13 carries, while Pruitt had 14 carries for 141 yards.

Pruitt also had seven of 15 with 111 passing yards as quarterback. Friday night’s leading receiver was Smith with five receptions for a total of 90 yards.

Clinton County will travel to Webster County Friday night with a 7 p.m. kickoff.

The team moves to 2-1 on the season and will be on the road this week as the team travels to Webster County.
