The first Kentucky District Teen Bible Quiz of the 2016-2017 season was held on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Elizabethtown Church of the Nazarene.

Quizzers are studying the gospel of Luke this year in Teen Bible Quizzing. Two teams from Highway Nazarene Church competed in this round robin tournament with eight other teams.

Highway Guys had only one loss on the day and earned 2nd place overall in the tournament. Highway Guys is comprised of Eli Rains, Ethan Rains, Blake Melton, Shaun Radford, and Lex Marcum.

Highway Girls only had two losses on the day and earned 3rd place overall in the tournament. Highway Girls is comprised of Mattie Honeycutt, Sara Muse, Saylor Hess, and Sidney Alexander.

Three Highway quizzers also placed in the Top Ten. Individually, Eli Rains was 5th, Ethan Rains was 6th, and Mattie Honeycutt was 7th. The teams are coached by Ammie Marcum and Teresa Scott.
