Evan Claborn directed his nine-year old gelding, Get Ready, to World Championship honors in the Owner Amateur Novice Youth Riders 12-17 class at the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration, Saturday, August 27.

Held annually in Shelbyville, Tennessee, the “Celebration” is a highly competitive, 11-day world championship horse show showcasing the best of the best.

Under the guidance of his father, Todd Claborn, Evan has shown horses competitively since the age of six and has won many blue ribbons across Kentucky, Tennessee, and the Carolinas. This win, however, is his greatest accomplishment to date in the show ring.

Evan is the son of Todd and Holly Claborn and the grandson of Kaye Claborn and Jo Nell Selby.
