R.L. Claborn, 76, Hopkinsville, Kentucky and formerly of Byrdstown, Tennessee, passed away Friday, September 16, 2016 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee. He was the son of the late George Russell and Minnie Lee (Storie) Claborn.

He is survived by two daughters, Melodie (Michael) Elliott, Hopkinsville, Kentucky; Michelle (Martin) Ward, Greenfield, Indiana; three sisters, Edna Cope and Mary Daisy (Jerry) Johnson, both of Ohio; Linda Kay Sisco, Cookeville, Tennessee; also six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 4 p.m. at Campbell-New Funeral Home with Pastor Quintin McNabb officiating. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
