CCHS freshman Conlan Beck, pictured above at far right, was invited to participated in the First Lady’s Youth Leadership Council (FLYLC). The kick-off event took place in Louisville on August 26th and 27th and was sponsored by the GEAR UP Promise Zone through the PALS Program. Beck was part of the vision / mission and logo decision making process.

Beck will have the opportunity to attend three more two-day retreats as a member of the council, to provide thoughts and advice from a Kentucky youth perspective about policies and practices across the Commonwealth. First Lady Glenna Bevin is working to empower Kentucky’s youth by giving them a voice in programs and practices that impact them and their peers, both locally and statewide.
