Col. Charles W. Gray

Col. Charles W. Gray, 92, passed away Monday, October 3, 2016. He was a native of Harlan County, Kentucky and a retired Colonel from the 100th Division MTC and a teacher. He was a member of the Military Order of the World Wars, S.A.R. and Masonic Lodge. Col. Gray served in World War II and the 490th Bomb Squadron.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Jean Marcum.

He is survived by a sister, Hazel Green and her son, Doug Hendrickson; two children, Elizabeth Ann (Rick) McLeod and James Gary (Nelia) Gray; four grandchildren, Stacey McLeod Anderson, Ashley Gray McLeod, Catherine Solas Gray and Jean Solas Gray; and two great-grandchildren, Madison and Finley Anderson.

Burial was Sunday, October 9, 2016 in Davis Chapel Cemetery in Clinton County. Arrangements were made through Pearson’s Funeral Directors. Online condolences may be made at www.pearsonfuneralhome.com.
