Samuel V. Brents, 95, Burkesville, Kentucky and formerly of Albany, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016 at T.J. Samson Hospital in Glasgow. He was the son of the late Samuel Brents, Sr. and Annie (Long) Brents and husband of the late Marjorie (Best) Brents.

He is survived by two nieces Sara (Wariner) Anderson, Louisville, Kentucky, and Kathy (Randel) Flowers, Burkesville, Kentucky; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Campbell-New Funeral Home with final resting place in Albany Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy are suggested to Albany Cemetery or the Albany First Baptist Church Building Fund in his memory and may be left at the funeral home.
