A light rain arrived in Albany just about the time the Friday Foothills Parade got underway, but the crowd stayed around, some with unbrellas, to enjoy what has become known as one of the best parades in the region.

Lee’s Chapel Church and this My Old Kentucky Home float was good enough to convince the Foothills Parade judges it deserved the first place award in the float division.

John Washburn did a little hamming up for the float judges Friday as he pulled his Stuff Plain and Fancy float past their table on the courthouse square. The float earned a third place finish.
