Trick kids into healthy treats for Halloween

Halloween means trick or treating, costumes and sugar comas for children across America. But if you’re like many parents, you’d like avoid overload of sugar for your kids. What kind of items can you hand out during trick or treating or at school parties that kids will find exciting?
Favorites from the pantry include:
• Raisins
• Pretzels
• Juice boxes
• Mini water bottles (they need them to help wash down the candy while trick or treating)
• Plain cookies (graham crackers, Teddy Grahams, vanilla wafers, etc.)
• Baked chips, baked tortilla chips
• Popcorn
• Low fat granola or cereal bars
• Sugar-free gum
