James Ross Cooksey, 28, Albany, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at his residence. He was the son of the late James Michael Cooksey and grandson of the late Baylos and Mable Harlan.

He is survived by his mother, Janice Harlan Cooksey; special friend, Brittany McCall Garrett, both of Albany; paternal grandparents, Jimmy and Inell Cooksey, Burkesville, Kentucky; special aunt, Lisa Harlan, Monticello, Kentucky; a sister, Julia (Taylor) Carlisle, Hopkinsville, Kentucky; and two brothers, Michael Brandon (Jennifer) Cooksey, Marrowbone, Kentucky, and Nick Cooksey, Albany.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 24, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Talbott Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Shelley officiating. Final resting place in Peolia Cemetery. Arrangements were made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany. Memorials are suggested to the James Ross Cooksey memorial fund and may be left at the funeral home.
