Wilma Gaye Melton, 65, Cave Springs Rd., Albany, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2016 at The Medical Center-Albany. She was the daughter of the late William Richard Tallent and Lorene Woodrum Dean, wife of the late Lonnie Edward Melton and was also preceded in death by a brother, Billy Gayle Tallent, a sister, Lela Ann Cross, a granddaughter Brianna Wofford and her step-father, Dester Dean.

She is survived by a brother, Johnny Richard Tallent, Jamestown, Tennessee; a half-brother, Earnest Tallent, Albany; a sister, Karen Foster, Columbus, Indiana; two half- sisters, Hazel Simmons, Somerset, Kentucky and Brenda Turpin, Monticello, Kentucky; mother-in-law, Creola Melton Richard, Albany; special aunt, Kathy White, Summer Shade, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Ella Wofford and James and Caitlin Taylor; also four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Weldon Haddix Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Gray, Bro.Tommy Hensley and Bro. Scott Jones officiating. Final resting place in Cave Springs Cemetery. Arrangements were made through Weldon Haddix Funeral Home of Albany.
