Robbie Davis Court named at Clinton Middle School

The basketball floor at Clinton County Middle School has a new name as of Monday evening, when a eremony was held during a break in middle school basketball games to dedicate a decal designating Robbie Davis Court. Davis was an iconic figure in regards to Clinton County athletics and especially in basketball. In addition to being a high profile player for Clinton County High School, he also spent many seasons working as a coach with the middle school program. Davis died suddenly of a heart attack this past summer. In the photos above, the family gathered at center court at the end of Monday’s ceremony and was presented with a commemerative tray made from the wood of a previous Clinton County basketball court. In the center photo, as members of the family looked on from the stands, Al Gibson talked about Davis’ love of the game of basketball and later coaching young players for many years. At right, the decal designating the CCMS court being named in his honor.
