Long time Clinton County educator and Clinton County High School Basketball Coach, Lindle Castle, 86, Albany, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Jewish Hospital Downtown, Louisville, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Elza P. and Alma Rose (Fallen) Castle and was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Helen (Dick) Castle.

He is survived by two daughters, Terrie (Garry) Gupton, Simpsonville, Kentucky; Jana (George) Hatcher, Albany; a sister, Reda Day, Bloomington, Indiana; five grandchildren, Grant, Grace and Gray Gupton and Castle and Peyton Hatcher.

Castle coached basketball from 1957 until 1971, then again from 1975 until 1980. He also coached baseball, golf and was former CCHS Athletic Director.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Clinton County High School Gymnasium with Military Honors with Pastor Jeff Brown officiating. Visitation will be from 12 noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, December 10 at the gymnasium with final resting place in Albany Cemetery. Arrangements are being made through Campbell-New Funeral Home of Albany.
