Mary Lee McWhorter, 93, Albany Landing Road, Albany, passed away Friday, December 8, 2016 at the Medical Center at Albany. She was the daughter of the late Lee and Cora Melton Willen and was also preceded in death by two sons, Carl and David McWhorter and a daughter, Nell Hunt.

She is survived by a son, Jimmy (Dianne) McWhorter; two daughters, Barbara Olene Wray and Earlene (Douglas) McMackin, all of Louisville, Kentucky; a sister, Dean Stearns and best friend, Bonnie Tallent, both of Albany; also 15 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Aaron Chapel Church with Clifton Cowan and Larry Peak officiating. Final resting place in Grider Hill Cemetery. Arrangements were made through Weldon Haddix Funeral Home of Albany.
