Auditions will be held January 2 and 3, 2017 at 6 PM at Good Neighbors Theatre for Lady Pirates of the Caribbean, the Musical.
A cast of 22 characters will be composed of primarily youth five years and older. Though the play is a musical, a good singing voice is not required. Auditions will be at GNT located at 8780 Highway 111 in Byrdstown, Tennessee and performances will be the first two weekends in March 2017.
There are roles for approximately 15 females and seven males plus a mixed chorus. Also, come to the auditions if you are interested in helping behind the scenes.
Help will be needed with sound and lights, costumes and costume changes for the young people, set construction, props, and maintaining order backstage. Contact Director Paige Mayercik at 615-278-0167 for more information.
The fun-filled adventure on the high seas centers around a band of pirates known as the Lawless Ladies, who disguise themselves as a shipwrecked theatrical troupe when they happen upon the luckless Parrot Isle.
The leader on the island is the willy-nilly Governor Don Juan Futon, who already has a dungeon full of pirates at the Governor’s palace.
Book by Craig Sodaro; music and lyrics by Bill Francoeur, produced by special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service, Inc., Denver, Colorado.
This project is funded under a Grant Contract with the State of Tennessee. Good Neighbors Theatre is an equal opportunity provider and employer.
