James E. “Jimmy” Polston, 70, Albany, passed away Monday, January 2, 2017 at his residence. He was a former teacher and principal of Clinton County Middle School and son of the late Earl and Ina (Atkinson) Polston. He was also preceded in death by a son, Doug Polston, and two brothers, Earl and Bobby “Robert” Polston.

He is survived by a son, Matthew Polston, Albany; a daughter, Daphne (Scott) Brittain, Nicholasville, Kentucky; a sister, Joyce (Phillip) Conner, Albany; and three grandchildren, Haley and Taylor Brittain and Zach Polston.

Funeral services were held Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Campbell-New Funeral Home with pastor Greg Wells and Dr. Wm. C. Powell officiating. Final resting place in Peolia Cemetery.
