Bro. Sam Booher, 73, Albany, passed away Monday, January 2, 2017 at Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, Kentucky. He was a member of Gospel Independent Baptist Church where he served as pastor for over 20 years. He was preceded in death by a sister, Monzell Wilson and a brother, Billy Booher.

He is survived by his wife, Earlene McGill Booher; two sons, Larry Booher and Brenda and Allen Keith Booher, both of Albany; four sisters, Suretha Booher and Imogene Fletcher, both of Burkesville, Kentucky; Maxine Allen, Indiana; Randy Hughes, Louisville, Kentucky; a brother, Joe Booher, Albany; and one grandchild, Amber Marie Booher.

Funeral services were held Friday, January 6, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Gospel Independent Baptist Church with Bro. Donald McGill, Bro. Marcus Williams and Bro. Walter Garrett officiating. Final resting place in Highway Cemetery. Arrangements were made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
