Seventh grade Dawgs finish 18-2 with berth in state tourney

The Clinton County Middle School 7th grade boys’ basketball team competed in the 2017 boys’ 7th Grade State Tournament in Lexington, Kentucky. Sixty teams competed in the tournament. After defeating RW Combs, 48-38, and Jessie Clark, 50-22, in pool play, the Bulldogs earned a bye into the round of 32.

There they defeated Royal Springs in overtime, 28-27, to earn a spot in the Sweet 16, where they lost to Barret Middle School, which went on to win its second consecutive state championship title.

The Bulldogs finish the year with an 18-2 record. The team is coached by Sheldon Harlan, Jason Harlan, and Mark Gibson.
