Lakes and Land Realty/Auction agent Hunter Shearer participated in the third annual rabbit hunt, which was held in January in Burkesville, Kentucky. Around 40 people participated in the event. During the hunt, the community comes together to donate land, time and food for soldiers to hunt. After the hunt, Shearer and owner/broker, Nancy Mims, presented the founder of Hope for Heroes, Mitch Serlin, with a contribution for their foundation.

“We’ve been a supporter of the military and this organization for a long time. My son is active in the Navy,” said Mims. “We met Mitch a while back because we lease the farm land they use to hunt on so we’ve really gotten to know him. He is a great guy and it’s a great cause.”
