My Nanny is everything you need
I know candy is sweet, but not as sweet as my grandma, Joanne Garner. I like to call her Nanny. Nanny is everything you need. She is nice, caring, and unforgettable. There are lots of other good things about her, but there is just one thing she hasn’t got to yet, and that is to be called the Kentucky Grandparent of the Year.
Me and my nanny have many special memories, but the one I can relate to the most is whenever she stayed with me when I was sad, and she made me smile! She did everything she could just to make me happy. She was there for me and cared for me just like a mom would. I know I had a heart ache when I was sad, but whenever Nanny stayed with me the only heart ache I had was where I felt so loved. I love Nanny, and she loves me, and that’s all that really matters, and I will never forget that special memory.
My nanny encourages me as much as she can. It seems she tries to encourage me to act like a lady more than anything. She’s always wanting me to cross my legs when I sit, put a napkin in my lap when I eat, and to always have good manners. Ladies wear makeup, but Nanny says I’m way too pretty to wear makeup. A little mascara won’t hurt though. Nanny wants me to be myself too. I hope that one day I can be a wonderful lady just like my Nanny is.
My nanny is a very caring person. She never puts herself before others. Say you just had a big meal and you were still hungry and all Nanny had was a little crumb. She would give it to you and go hungry for the rest of the day. If you need anything she would give it to you if she could. Even if she didn’t know you, she would still care the world for you. She cares just like I care for her and she cares for me.
Before this essay comes to an end, I just want to say that I love my nanny, and I could write a bunch more good things about her. Even if Nanny does not win the Kentucky Grandparent of the Year I will still love her the same as I do right now, but on the other hand if she does win, hopefully she will realize she is the best grandma anyone could ask for. One of these days I hope I can call Nanny the Kentucky Grandparent of the Year.
