History is full of stories, poems, ballads, plays and even films of the great pirates of the Caribbean. Good Neighbors Theatre is bringing Lady Pirates of the Caribbean—the Musical to its stage with a huge cast of adults, youth, and children.

Based on a book by Craig Sodaro with music and lyrics by Bill Francoeur, the play is about a band of lady pirates who outthink and outfight the evil Governor of Parrot Isle as the lawless ladies recover the Queen’s chest of gold doubloons sent to feed starving orphans.

Performances are at 7:00 PM Friday and Saturday evenings and 2:00 PM Sunday afternoons March 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, and 12 at Good Neighbors Theatre.

The theatre is located at 8780 Highway 111 in Byrdstown, TN. As part of the 2016-2017 Season,

Lady Pirate Captain, Esmeralda, leads her Lawless Ladies to recover stolen money from other plundering pirates for the orphans of Parrot Island. But Esmeralda and her band of lawless ladies have to work around governor Don Juan Futon and his niece Lucretia, who definitely are not the people they say they are.

The Lawless Ladies disguise themselves as a shipwrecked theatrical troupe as they happen upon the luckless Parrot Isle. Lively songs, comic dance, and plenty of action including a swashbuckling pirate vs. pirate sword fight make this musical comedy a blast for performers and audience alike!

This is a play GNT thinks kids will love, and GNT has a special opportunity for them to see it at a deep discount. The Thursday dress rehearsal on March 2 has been designated as Student Night.

Students can come watch the cast perform their final run through before the opening performance for a mere $5 per student. One adult can accompany the student for free, but if a group of students or a family attend, only one adult per group or family can attend for free.

Seating is limited and admission will be taken at the door. Because this is a rehearsal, there may be pauses and director instructions taking place during the rehearsal.

Ticket Prices are $12.00 plus tax for adults and $8.00 plus tax for children between three and 12 years of age. Lap babies two and under are free.

Tickets are available at the Byrdstown – Pickett County Chamber of Commerce. All pre-reserved tickets must be paid for at the time the reservation is made.

Tickets may also be purchased at the Good Neighbors Theatre ticket booth on the night of the performances. All ticket sales are final. Unused tickets are non-refundable.

Also, indicate the performance you want to attend: March 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, and/or 12 . All reservations by mail must be received three days prior to selected date. Please provide a complete list of names/dates of all ticket holders for the reservation. Tickets for mail-in reservations are held for Will Call at the GNT Ticket Booth on the night of the performance/s you select.
