John Pipkin, Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Friday, February 24, 2017 at Somerset Nursing and Rehab Center. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Pipkin, was retired from the U.S. Navy with 28 years of service, was a 32nd degree Mason with Gateway Lodge #40, Creve Coeur, MO; National Commander for Legion of Honor; Potentate of Khedive Shrine Temple, 1999; member of Shriner’s Million Dollar Club; and a lifetime member of Court 75 Kachinak Klub.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Victor Watson, Albany; two grandchildren, John Watson, Seattle, Washington; Rebecca O’Dell, Larenceburg, Kentucky; also six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Talbott Funeral Home with Greg Ryan and Bro. Rodney Koger officiating. Final resting place in Lands Chapel Cemetery with Military Honors. Memorials are suggested to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 N Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Florida 33607. Arrangements were made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
