John H. “Dick” Stockton, 93, Brown St., Albany, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017 at Pickett County Care and Rehab. He was a member of Clear Fork Baptist Church, son of the late Ed and Sue Stockton and was also preceded in death by a son, Jerry Stockton.

He is survived by his wife, Mona Stockton, Albany; two daughters, Dora Jean Griffin, Albany; Linda (Terry) Cross, New Castle, Indiana; a son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Cathy Stockton, Smyrna, Tennessee; a brother and sister-in-law, Tuddy and Ruth Stockton, Albany; nine grandchildren, Chad and Randy Griffin; Tim, Johnny and Ronnie Cross; Kimberly Stockton; Missy Mounts; Courtney and Brittany Talbott and 17 great-grandchildren, John, Bailey, and Hanna Griffin; Ashley, Tiffany, Jared, Lyn, Madison, Mallory, Austin, Jacob, Adria, and Ian Cross; and Hayden, Peyton, Haley and Patrick Mounts.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 20, 2017 at 3 p.m. at Talbott Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Sawyer officiating. Final resting place in Peolia Cemetery. Arrangements were made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
