Kay Riddle, 65, Speck Rd., Albany, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at Cookeville Regional Hospital. He was the son of the late Kendrick and Theda Riddle and was a Methodist minister. He served as Albany City Police Officer for four years, was Clinton County Sheriff for 13 years, a veteran of the U.S. Army, a Kentucky Colonel and member of Albany Masonic Lodge #206. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Riddle.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Riddle; a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Doug Moreland; three sisters, Evelyn Melton and Charlotte Riddle, both of Albany; Saundra (Dan) Cook, N. C.; a brother and sister-in-law, Jaynes and Brenda Riddle, Albany; also three grandchildren, Annie Kay (Luke) Moons and Clint and Clay Moreland.
A memorial service was held Friday, July 22, 2011 at 5 p.m. at Talbott Funeral Home with Bro. David Stearns and Honorable James M. Lawson officiating. Arrangements made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
