Baseball and softball teams lose in first round

Eli Baker made a catch in right field during the first inning Monday night in the first round of the 16th District Tournament against Cumberland County. The Bat Dawgs lost the game 7-0 and finish the season with an 8-15 record.

Jeffery Collins took the mound Monday night against Cumberland County in the first round of the district tournament. Clinton County lost the game, 7-0, and finish the season with an 8-15 record.

Olivia Turner made the tag Monday night on a Russell County player. Clinton County led most of the game, but Russell County took a one run lead later in the game and ended up winning, 3-2. Clinton County finished with a 2-25 record.

Holden Shepard dove after a fly ball in center field Monday night, but the ball got past him in the first inning against Cumberland County. Clinton County lost the game, 7-0.
