Billie Shelton of Albany was awarded the degree of Doctor of Nursing Practice during the spring graduation commencement held at Eastern Kentucky University recently. Billie received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from EKU in 1999 and her Master of Science in Nursing from WKU in 2008. Shelton is employed at Somerset Community College. She is married to Ricky Shelton and the mother of one daughter, Emily.
