Making Meals Together

Clinton County Extension Office will be offering a “Making Meals Together” program beginning on Thursday, July 13 at 5 p.m. This program focuses on quick and easy meals that can be prepared at home at an affordable price. You will have a chance to sample tasty recipes and receive new kitchen gadgets to help make neal prep easier. Call 606-387-5404 for more information and to reserve your spot.

Sons of Confederate Veterans

to meet

The Sons of Confederate Veterans, Myers-Zollicoffer Camp 1990 will meet on Thursday, July 20 at 7 p.m. in the VFW Post 5062 at 103 W. Henson St. in Livingston, Tennessee. Jim Loftis will discuss Camp Zollicoffer, a confederate induction and training base established in 1861. If you have questions or a confederate ancestor call 931-783-3767.

Clinton Fiscal Court to meet

Clinton Fiscal Court will hold its regular monthly meeting Thursday, July 20 at 5 p.m. in the upstairs courtroom of the courthouse. The meeting is open to the general public.

Migrant Parent Advisory

Council meeting

Clinton County Migrant Education Program will have a Parent Advisory Council Back to School meeting at 12 noon Tuesday, July 18 at the Early Childhood Center.

We will have a presentation on using the parent portal in Infinite Campus and will also review this year’s summer school programs.

Each child enrolled in the Migrant program will receive a back pack and school supplies. Hot dogs and refreshments will be served. A bundle opening will follow the meeting.

All parents who have children enrolled in the Migrant program please try to attend this meeting. For more information please call 387-6272.

Livingston Central Park invites you to experience the heart-stopping harmonies and blazing double violins of Farewell Angelina.

Lake Cumberland Head Start now accepting applications

Head Start is now accepting applications for three and four year old children in the Clinton County area to participate in the Head Start program during the 2017-2018 school year.

Head Start is an early childhood education program that provides comprehensive services to income eligible parents and their families with special needs.

Qualified staff operates a center based facility that is developmentally appropriate for three to five years old. The center provides an environment with numerous learning opportunities and experiences that meet the needs of young children.

CCHS Band 2017-2018 to have Annual Band Camp

Members of the CCHS Band (grades 9 – 12 for the upcoming 2017-2018 school year) will have Band Camp July 24 –27 at the local high school. All High School Band students are required to attend these sessions. Each day’s rehearsals will be from 8:00 a.m. until 11:30. This camp is in preparation for this fall’s football season.

School board work session and regular meeting

Clinton County Board of Education will hold its regular work session on Thursday, July 13 at 4:30 p.m. and its regular business meeting Monday, July 17 at 5 p.m. Both meetings will be held at the Central Office board room and both are open to the general public.

AA meetings twice weekly

Alcohol Anonymous (AA) meetings are held each Thursday and Saturday at 7 p.m. at Albany Christian Church.
