Livingston Police Department officials told Overton County News they do not suspect foul play in the death of a man who was found dead in his car Thursday, July 21 in front of a business on West Main Street.
According to LPD, William “Bill” Beechboard, 37, of Monroe, was found slumped over the seat of his car in the parking lot of J’s Trading Post with the doors locked.
A statement from LPD said emergency medical responders gained entry from the back window of the car and discovered Beechboard was dead once inside. Upon investigation, police said the death did not appear suspicious.
“Detective Tim Poore, the lead investigator in the case stated that there was no apparent signs of foul play involved,” said a press release from LPD. “However, because it was an unattended death, a decision was made to send Beechboard for an autopsy by the State Medical Examiner’s Office.”
