The team was still able to hold their heads high as they had played with a resilient effort after shaking out the initial nerves.

On Thursday night, Clinton faced Russellville in the 4th Region All “A” Classic Semi-Final after a day filled with rain.

The changing weather conditions had no impact on the true potential of the Bulldogs. The team jelled and began making goal after goal, up 7-0 at halftime. Clinton was determined to shutout Russellville.

Captain Luis Mazariegos lead the scoring with four total goals, followed by Will Blake, Marin Bartolon, and Elias Raymundo each scoring two goals.

The game was called early as Clinton made it 10-0 and the mercy rule was put into place.

Thus, leaving Clinton victorious against Russellville and moving onto the 4th Region All “A” Finals.

We are just getting the season underway, but it has already proven to be an exciting one. Tuesday night our boys will hit the road to Monroe County, followed by a rematch with Barren away on Thursday night.

If you find yourself wondering what to do this Saturday, September 9th, at 2pm, come out and support the Clinton County Bulldogs as they battle for the 4th Region All “A” Championship trophy on our home turf.

We would love to have a large fan base to cheer on our boys. This truly is an experience you do not want to miss.

The Dawgs are coached by Assane Ndiaye. He is in his first year as head coach.
