On Saturday, September 9, the Clinton County boys’ soccer team hosted the 4th Region All “A” Championship. This was the second time the Bulldogs and the Monroe County Falcons had met within a four day time span. Same teams, different sites, one was a regular season game and one was the Regional Championship. The outcomes were almost identical with the Dawgs winning both games, 7-1 and 7-0 respectively.

Clinton County led by a score of 5-0 at the half and with Clinton County’s defense and great play by goalie Holden Shepard, helpled Clinton County to complete shutout of Monroe County on Saturday to win the regional championship.

The Soccer Dawgs have a very busy schedule this week, playing four games, three of the four on the road.

Monday night, the Dawgs traveled to Glasgow for a District 15 matchup with the Scotties. Clinton County came out on the short side with a 1-7 decision. Tuesday night the Bulldogs traveled to Wayne County and will be at Campbellsville Thursday night. This Saturday Clinton County will host the State All “A” Sectional as they takes on Owensboro Catholic at the middle school at 11:30 a.m. Come out and support your boys’ soccer team hosting the opening round of the All “A” State Sectional. Good luck to first year Head Coach Assane Ndiaye and his soccer team.
