The 20th annual Kentucky Invitational Tournament (KIT) Teen Bible Quiz was held on Friday and Saturday, October 6 and 7, 2017 at Louisville First Church of the Nazarene. Seventeen teams competed at the KIT, representing churches from Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, Indiana, and West Virginia. All teams – both novice and experienced – competed together in this tournament. After a Round Robin, the Highway team had a record of 10-6 and qualified for the top level Gold Division tournament. They finished in seventh place, which was third highest among the Kentucky teams who competed at the KIT and first among the Kentucky novice teams. Individually, Eli Rains was 13th and Ethan Rains was 14th, pictured at far left.

Mattie Honeycutt, pictured at left, was also crowned “Error Princess” for having the second highest number of errors among the girl quizzers. The Highway team is coached by Teresa Scott and Ammie Marcum. Thanks to Highway Nazarene Church for supporting this incredible ministry and encouraging our teens to dig deeper into God’s Word.
