It’s been well over five years now that the staff at the Clinton County News pulled into our parking lot to discover that someone had spray painted an ominous date – 10-17-2017, on the back side of our building. We can’t count the number of times we’ve had to answer the question “What does that date on the building mean?” with the now familiar reply “We don’t know.”

This Tuesday, October 17, 2017, the date arrived and, well, we still don’t know. Maybe a coat of paint is in order, or maybe not.
