Injury collison Monday on US 127 in Clinton County

Kentucky State Police investigated a two vehicle injury collision on US 127, four miles south of Albany Monday, October 30, around 1:51 p.m. CST.

Preliminary investigations indicate that 53 year-old Jeffery Cornett of Albany was operating a 1995 Ford Dump Truck traveling north on US 127.

Cornett struck the rear of a 2009 Nissan being operated by 51 year-old Sheila Turner of Livingston, Tennessee who was attempting to make a left hand turn.

Turner and a passenger 28 year-old Corey Jackson of Livingston, Tennessee were both transported to the Medical Center – Albany with non-life threatening injuries by Clinton County EMS.

All parties were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the collision.

Sergeant Randy Honeycutt is investigating and was assisted by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department, Fire and EMS
