Missoula Children’s Theatre Presents Gulliver’s Travels

Over 250 people were in attendance at the 14th annual Missoula Children’s Theatre residency week performance on Friday, November 10th. The audience was treated to an out-of-this world sci-fi adventure as Missoula Children’s Theatre and more than 50 local students presented an original musical adaptation of Gulliver’s Travels.

The local cast featured Hayden Garrett as Gulliver 1 and Evan Little as Gulliver 2. Christian Derryberry was the Maniacal Scientist of Lapunta (la-poon-ta) and Johnathan Richardson was Gulliver’s trusty computer JCN (Jason). The Giant King, Queen and Princess of Brobdingnag (brab-ding-nag) were played by Autumn Langley, Katelyn Perez and Ashton Daniels. Lily Hickman was the Giant Wasp.

The Robots of Lapunta were Kellie Brown, Jasmine Brumley, Maggie Cross, Mac Guffey, Chesney Harlan, Tatum Harlan, Kendall Hay, Loren Little, Eli Melton, Ella Rose Smith, Aysha Sutton, and Jonna Upchurch. The Houyhnhnm (who-in-um) Horses were played by Kendra Bertram, McKenna Moons, Moriah Moons, and Sadie Moons.

The Yahoos were Camille Beaty, Corinne Beaty, Tessa Cross, Saylor Hess, Sadie Ipock, Landon Pittman, Luke Pyzik, Peyton Pyzik, Madison Rigney, Alyssa Rodriguez, Emily Sawyers, and Kaylee Stearns. The Aliens of Liiliput were played by Kaylah Boston, Noah Claborn, KayAlan Cross, Jenson Johnson, Olivia Lee, Sydney Lowhorn, Esmerelda Pascual, and Bella Young.

The Aliens of Blefuscu (blue-foo-skoo) were played by Alison Claborn, Dannon Dalton, Cade Ipock, Mikarah Mason, Layden Moss, Allison Shepperd, Owen Staton, Haven Stearns, and Isabelle Upchurch. Shelby Catron, Claire Guffey, Jase Sohm, and Emma Tompkins served as Assistant Directors throughout the week. MCT Tour Actor Steven Thomas played the Invisible Force of Good, and the show was directed by MCT Tour Director Courtney Marks.

The Missoula Children’s Theatre residency in Clinton County was presented by Clinton County Community Education with support from Extended School Services.
