Ruth Rains Cowan, 79, Albany, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018 at The Medical Center-Albany. She was the wife of the late Billie Cowan.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandy and Lonnie Marcum and Billie and Ricky Shelton, all of Albany; two grandchildren, Marcy (Matt) Aaron and Emily Shelton; two great-grandchildren, McKinley and Mia Aaron; three step-grandchildren, Chris Marcum, Heather Brandenburg and Marci Guffey; also four step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, January 15, 2018 at Talbott Funeral Home with Bro. Jim England, Bro. Ted Burchett and Bro. Rex Guffey officiating. Final resting place in Craig Cemetery. Arrangements were made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
