Haskell B. Owens, 78, Alpha, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Wayne County Hospital in Monticello, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Omer and Esther Neal Owens, a member of Old Bethel Bible Church at Alpha and was also preceded in death by a son, Mitchell Jay Owens, and siblings, Nell Tuggle, Gay Thrasher, Helen McKnight, Bonnie and Ervin Owens.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Jane Owens, Alpha, Kentucky; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Valis Smedley, Alpha, Kentucky; Shannon and Tommy Craig, Monticello, Kentucky; two sons and daughter-in-law, Lloyd and Rita Owens and Floyd B. Owens, all of Alpha, Kentucky; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Gladys Ragan, New Castle, Indiana; Janette and Boyd Clark, Albany; a brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd D. and Debbie Owens, Crawfordsville, Indiana; also 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and 13 step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Talbott Funeral Home with Vitas Bailey and Jeff Bertram officiating. Final resting place in Davis Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements were made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
