Clinton Grand Jury returns host of multi-count indictments

The Clinton County Grand Jury had an extremely busy case load in its regular session last Thursday, March 1, returning a host of indictments, most multi-count charges, against a host of defendants.

The following charges were levied by the grand jury last week:

* Richard Justin Mason: The alleged offenses of carrying a concealed deadly weapon by prior deadly weapon felony offender; possession of a controlled substance first degree; possession of a controlled substance third degree; possession of marijuana (misdemeanor); reckless driving; failure to notify address change to Department of Transportation (misdemeanor); careless driving; disregarding a stop sign; failure to wear seatbelt; improper passing; failure to maintain insurance; operating a motor vehicle under the influence; and, speeding.

The alleged offenses having occurred on or about June 17, 2017.

* Edward J. Adams: The alleged offenses of possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor); possession of a controlled substance first degree; trafficking in a controlled substance first degree; possession of marijuana (misdemeanor); counterfeiting intellectual property (misdemeanor); possession of a controlled substance not in original container (misdemeanor); possession of a controlled substance first degree; trafficking in a controlled substance first degree, first offense; possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor); trafficking in a controlled substance first degree; possession of marijuana (misdemeanor); and, possession of a controlled substance first degree.

The alleged offenses having occurred on or about December 9, 2017 and February 10, 2018.

* Johnnie Lee Davis: The alleged offenses of possession of a controlled substance first degree; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; operating a motor vehicle while under the influence; failure to use seatbelt; failure to notify address change to Department of Transportation; failure to maintain insurance; failure to signal; careless driving; resisting arrest (misdemeanor); fleeing or evading police first degree;and, persistent felony offender second degree (two counts).

The alleged offenses having occurred on or about November 22, 2017.

* Taylor Hardesty: The alleged offenses of possession of a controlled substance not in original container (misdemeanor); and, possession of a controlled substance first degree.

The alleged offenses having occurred on or about December 30, 2017.

* Charlie K. York: The alleged offenses of possession of a controlled substance first degree (two counts); possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor); possession of a controlled substance first degree, first offense; and, persistent felony offender second degree.

The alleged offenses having occurred on or about September 22, 2017.

* Alison N. Dean: The alleged offenses of trafficking in a controlled substance first degree, first offense; possession of a controlled substance first degree (two counts); and, possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor).

The alleged offenses having occurred on or about September 22, 2017.

* Jonathan R. Bybee: The alleged offenses of possession of a controlled substance first degree; possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor); and, controlled substance endangerment to a child first degree.

The alleged offenses having occurred on or about February 3.

* Stephanie A. Morris: The alleged offenses of possession of a controlled substance first degree; possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor); and, controlled substance endangerment to a child first degree.

The alleged offenses having occurred on or about February 3.

* Eddie Stockton: The alleged offenses of driving on a suspended license; operating a motor vehicle under the influence; possession of a controlled substance first degree; failure to wear seatbelt; and failure to maintain insurance.

The alleged offenses having occurred on or about August 1, 2017.

* Tommy E. Phillips: The alleged offenses of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; possession of a controlled substance first degree; fleeing or evading police first degree (on foot); and persistent felony offender, first degree (two counts).

The alleged offenses having occurred on or about November 22, 2017.

* Rachel R. York: The alleged offense of promoting contraband first degree; possession of a controlled substance first degree (three counts); and, possession of a controlled substance second degree (Class A misdemeanor).

The allege offenses having occurred on or about September 29, 2017.

* Chad Jones: The alleged offenses of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanors); and, possession of a controlled substance first degree.

The alleged offenses having occurred on or about September 28, 2017.

* Bobby Pierce: The alleged offenses of trafficking in a controlled substance first degree; possession of a controlled substance first degree and possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor).

The alleged offenses having occurred on or about February 16.

* Heather M. Flowers: The alleged offenses of possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor); receiving stolen property; possession of a controlled substance first degree; and, trafficking in a controlled substance first degree.

The alleged offenses having occurred on or abut February 16.

* Thomas A. Lewis: The alleged offense of theft by deception. The alleged offense having occurred on or about May 26, 2015.
