Elementary team results

The Clinton County Elementary Academic Team was runner-up in the District 54 Elementary Governor’s Competition! .The team was also runner-up in the district Quick Recall competition and third in the district Future Problem Solving competition. The following students placed in district Written Assessment: Addison Coop (4th in Arts & Humanities); Jed Groce (4th in Science); Alli Latham (2nd in Language Arts); Valarie Latham (4th in Social Studies and 1st in Composition); Ella Rose Smith (2nd in Science and 1st in Arts & Humanities). The entire team will advance to the Elementary Regional Governor’s Cup Competition on March 3rd. The team is coached by Mrs. Danielle Hicks and Mrs. Ashley Braswell-Shelton.

Middle School team results

The Clinton County Middle School Academic Team claimed the championship of the District 46 Middle School Governor’s Cup Competition. The team also earned first place in the district Quick Recall competition and first place in the district Future Problem Solving competition. The following students placed in district Written Assessment: Evan Little (1st in Arts & Humanities); Loren Little (1st in Language Arts); Moriah Moons (1st in Composition); Katie Jones (2nd in Composition); Alex Duvall (2nd in Social Studies); Eli Rains (2nd in Arts & Humanities); Emma Tompkins (3rd in Science and 4th in Arts & Humanities); Sami Criswell (4th in Language Arts); Ryan Bair (5th in Social Studies). The team advanced to the Region 12 Governor’s Cup competition, where they were third runner-up. The following students placed in regional Written Assessment: Evan Little (1st in Arts & Humanities); Loren Little (1st in Language Arts); Katie Jones (2nd in Composition); Moriah Moons (4th in Composition). Evan, Loren, Katie, and Moriah will advance to the state Governor’s Cup Competition in Louisville on March 17-19, 2018. The team is coached by Mrs. Danielle Hicks and Mrs. Ashley Braswell-Shelton.
