Saturday, September 17, has been selected as the date for the 22nd Annual Friends of Lake Cumberland Cleanup. Volunteers and concerned citizens are invited to help clean up trash, old tires and appliances, etc., that litter the shoreline.

Participants should check in on the day of the event at 9 a.m. EDT/ 9 a.m. CDT at one of the following locations: Grider Hill Dock, Lake Cumberland State Dock Ramp, Cave Springs Marina, Conley Bottom Marina, Waitsboro Recreation Area and General Burnside Island State Park.

After working up an appetite, volunteers are invited to a free cookout, with door prizes, at General Burnside Island at 3:00 pm EDT and Lake Cumberland State Park 3:00 pm CDT.
