Several local educators made their way to our state capitol in Frankfort this week to join educators from across Kentucky in protesting changes and cuts that were being proposed by the General Legislature in teachers’ pension plans as well as cuts in education on several levels.

Some of those from Albany and Clinton County who were among the thousands of teachers and administrators in Frankfort Monday, sent photos to the NEWS from the State Capitol grounds.

In the above photo, a group of teachers and administrators from Albany Elementary School are shown bearing the cold temperatures to get their point across to members of the general assembly.

In middle photo, Tracy Goodman, Jackie Frey and Patricia Riddle from the Clinton County Early Childhood Center.

In the bottom photo, retired teachers from Albany Elementary, Connie Armstrong and Patricia Stalcup.
